Rock Rose (also known as Cistus) comes from a resin within the leaves and twigs of the Cistus ladanifer plant. The aroma is quite unique and loved by many. Rock Rose is great for small cuts as it is hemostatic (stops bleeding). Rock Rose is well known for its wound healing abilities along with being a great antiviral, antibacterial, anti-infectious, astringent, and immune boosting essential oil. Rock Rose may also be helpful for hemorrhoids and bloody noses.
Besides having wonderful therapeutic benefits Rock Rose is also well known for its emotional and energetic properties as well. Rock Rose is used for those who are in shock or have been through any kind of traumatic event. Rock Rose may also be used to help “heal a heart” after it has been though a great deal of stress or worry.
